Typically,
couples with tight budgets don't usually hire wedding
planners. However, when all
things are done, it may actually end up saving money as well as some headaches.
It may make sense to hire a wedding planner when the bride and groom never seem
to have enough time because of work or other considerations. For those who are
overwhelmed in the whole process of finding suppliers, interviewing them and
then negotiating the best deals, it makes sense. In this case, it is definitely
worth clenching your teeth and hiring the planner. One of the keys to hiring a
scheduler is to make a decision as early as possible, because you end up
getting more dollar value.
While hiring
a wedding planner may seem like a luxury, you can live without it, but they can
lose weight for their gold-not only to keep your life healthy before the
wedding, but also to save you a lot of time with their negotiation skills. Most
wedding planners refer to themselves as wedding planners. However, some people
also call themselves wedding advisers or wedding coordinators. Whatever they
call themselves, most offer a full range of services. From basic consulting to
handling every detail of weddings and receptions, you can count on them. What
you get from the planner will depend on the wedding planner you hire.
In general,
you will find three different types of planners:
1. Persons Providing a one-time initial Consultation:
Such consultants will help you set up
your budget and schedule. They will also provide tips for handling all
suppliers, as well as advice from certain vendors they have successfully
obtained in the past. This type of wedding planner usually charges a one-time
fee-or maybe an hour.
That's good,
because you'll know the cost of them in advance.
2. Services
to provide you with some of the program services:
This type of scheduler is
usually brought in the first 2-3 weeks of your wedding to help deal with the
myriad details that need attention and finalization. Some people will only
attend rehearsals and weddings-just to make sure the celebrations go smoothly.
These types
of wedding consultants are usually billed on an hourly basis, but some people
do the work at a fixed cost based on a fixed number of hours.
3. Full Service Scheduler, from Start to Finish to Cooperate With You:
This type of
wedding planner will be an integral part of your wedding. They'll make you know
you well. They will learn about your tastes and needs and will work with you to
develop budgets and timelines. When they meet you, they will advise you on the
food and drinks at the reception and on the overall theme of the wedding,
including flowers and decorations. They will even help you plan and execute
your hospitality program. The advantage of this type of wedding counselor is
that they have a lot of connections with a wide range of suppliers.
With a
wealth of knowledge, they can easily find budget-compliant suppliers. The
bottom line with wedding planners is that they save money for your suppliers on
board. While most people are doing very well in this area, some will guide you
in one Direction, including some vendors who have paid planners to get a list
of "approved" or "recommended" vendors. Some people will
even reward those who plan to send future couples in their own way.
Even if your
scheduler provides you with your recommendation as a "free service",
you can rest assured that the commission paid by the supplier to your wedding
advisor will be forwarded to you through the supplier's bill. Like most
industries, there are wrongdoers in the Wedding planner business. In order to
avoid these unwelcome people, be sure to look for the planners of the members
of the Bridal Advisors Association.
Persons
belonging to the association must abide by ethical guidelines, which include
disclosing any recommended fees before the client signs a contract with them.
Most wedding consultants who are ABC members do not charge a referral fee from
a supplier in any case, so this does not attract attention when dealing with
ABC affiliate consultants.
